Our Story
It started with one mother who felt alone
“With my first child I realized very quickly my life would never be the same. Not only was I a young mother, but I was also away from the only home I had ever known. I felt isolated and alone — I had no idea I could have asked for help. It wasn't until my daughter was six months old that I actually began to enjoy motherhood. Those months prior were a complete blur.”
Today, Georget is a firm believer in the saying “it takes a village to raise a child” — not only to nurture the child, but to nurture the mother as well. Every woman needs to feel supported during this time in her life. When a woman is properly supported, she sleeps better, eats better, and functions better in her new role as “mom.”
That first experience with motherhood is exactly why she founded Mothering Moms Doula Services — and why, 16 years later, she's still just as passionate about offering families the best possible support across the Greater Toronto Area, Peterborough, and virtually across Canada and the U.S.
